四大果仁增腦力
誰不想小朋友讀書聰明、腦筋靈活?日常飲食除了注意營養均衡,亦可多選對腦部發展有幫助的食材,果仁就是公認能增強腦部機能的食物,大部份含豐富不飽和脂肪及維他命,適量食用有益健康,不同種類果仁更各具特性。

核桃 — 性熱味甘,補腎固精、益氣養血, 它更含豐富卵磷脂、不飽和脂肪酸、抗氧化劑及多種維他命,有助健腦益智,增強記憶力。

葵花子 — 性平味甘,補虛損、降血脂,它含豐富鐵、鋅、鉀、鎂、維他命及不飽和脂肪酸,有補腦健腦作用。

松子仁 — 性熱味甘,補氣養液、潤肺滑腸,更含油酸酯、亞油酸酯等不飽和脂肪酸,松子中的磷和錳含量也很豐富,對大腦和神經都有很好的補益作用。

榛子 — 性熱味甘,補脾胃、益氣力,更含豐富不飽和脂肪酸、錳、硫氨酸、葉酸等,能增強腦部運作機能。

進食果仁小貼士:
- 不要過量服用
- 宜選烘焗而成的果仁,脂肪量比油炸而成的低
- 注意添加的鹽和糖量不宜過高
- 果仁普遍屬性偏溫熱,有偏熱症狀如口瘡、喉嚨痛的話更不宜多吃

Who wouldn’t want their child to be book smarts, quick and witty? Aside from a balanced diet, you can also choose ingredients that are beneficial to brain development. Nuts are known to improve brain functions as they contain high levels of unsaturated fats and vitamins. When consumed appropriately, it is good for the body and different nuts also have their specific characteristic.

Walnuts- hot in nature with a sweet flavour, can replenish the kidneys and preserve vital energy, nourish qi and blood. Walnuts contain lecithin, unsaturated fatty acid, antioxidants and vitamins to help strengthen the brain, and improve memory.

Sunflower seeds- mild in nature with a sweet flavour, can replenish deficiencies, lower blood lipids. They contain iron, zinc, potassium, magnesium, vitamins, and unsaturated fatty acid to replenish and strengthen the brain.

Pine nuts- hot in nature with a sweet flavour, can replenish qi and nourish fluids, moisten the lungs and intestines. They contain unsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid and linoleic acid. Pine nuts also contain high levels of phosphorus and manganese and is very beneficial to the brain and nervous system.

Hazelnuts- hot in nature with a sweet flavour, can replenish the spleen and stomach, nourish qi and energy. They contain unsaturated fatty acid, manganese, methionine, and folic acid to help improve brain functions.

Tips for consuming nuts:
- Do not over eat
- It is better to choose roasted nuts as they contain less fats than fried nuts
- Note the amounts of salt and sugar should not be too high
- Nuts are generally hot and warm in nature. If you have heat related symptoms such as canker sores and sore throat then you should avoid nuts.
